As O & M Project Manager you will work across the project development, design, delivery and O&M functions. You will support in the delivery of ICP design submissions and project manage the contract management and on site delivery during the network build and commissioning stages.
We are looking for a Project Manager who will lead and manage projects throughout the full end to end process, ensuring all components encompass the agreed customer requirements. Ideally, your experience will come from working within a utilities, construction, or engineering environment, where you will have gained HV or EHV electrical knowledge.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Project management ofICP build and commissioning activities Management of DNO/Grid new connections processesReview of ICP build programmes
2. Monitoring of ICP activities during project buildWitnessing of site commissioningReview and acceptance of as built documentationMonitoring Health and Safety performance of third party contractors ensuring work safely at all times, ensuring the safety of others and contribute to safe working in all activities.
3. Execute and maintain contract documents required for adoption of networks including; Managing contract budgets and resourcingManaging project risks and issuesDocumenting and managing project change controlReporting project progress using agreed reporting lines, templates and processesOn-boarding and auditing of contractorsManage the land rights process for projectsWorking with engineering team to develop technical design and delivery standardsMaintain communications with stakeholders and the project team/organisation
4. Manage our client's operation and maintenance framework agreements to ensure their site maintenance activity is properly carried out.
5. Supporting the development of our client's asset management strategy
6. Assist, where required with Independent Connection Provider (ICP) design submissions and land rights for adoptable networks for a range of network sizes and purposes:
7. Building working relationships with colleagues in the wider business to share best practice and innovations
8. Providing technical support to procurement teams and project managers in the delivery of special projects and new product development activities
9. Representing the client on industry technical forums
10. Occasional travel required, including overnight stays
11. Be good at problem solving and be able to resolve conflicts.
12. Open, positive, can-do attitude which builds confidence and credibility both within the team and stakeholders.
13. Possess good IT skills. Use of MS project would be an advantage.
Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of Engineering experience & be degree qualified or have an HND, HNC or similar. It will also be desirable if you have experience of delivering projects up to 33kV and 132kV & have:-
14. Evidence of ability to use industry standard design software
15. Evidence of training on industry codes and practices
16. Project / Programme Management accreditation / qualification i.e., IOSH, NEBOSH, APM Project Management Qualification, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP),
17. Experience in an ICP, IDNO or DNO environment
18. Experience of ICP design, or design review
19. Experience in the delivery of land rights is desirable
20. Experience of administration of EPC, NEC ECC form of contract is desirable.
