Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a Secondary School in Wigan who are looking to appoint a Music Teacher for a Maternity Cover starting in January 2025.
You will be working within a 11 to 16 mixed comprehensive high school.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role requires a passion for music, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Foster a love for music by creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Assess and track students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential
Organise and participate in extra-curricular activities, including school concerts and musical productions.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop the music curriculum and integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Music or a related field.
Previous experience teaching music at the secondary level is preferred.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
