Safety Engineer
Location: Bristol or Stevenage (Relocation package available)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
Dynamic (Hybrid) Working: 3 days per week on-site, based on workload classification.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

Key Responsibilities:
* Delve Deep: Analyse the system and its context to determine the most efficient evidence to mitigate hazards, ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Construct Safety Cases: Balance time and cost constraints to build compelling safety cases with the appropriate evidence.
* Deliver Reports: Produce supporting information including Safety Case Reports, Hazard Analysis, Functional Failure Analysis, FTA, etc.
* Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of safety practices.
What We're Looking For:
Experience & Expertise:
* Detailed understanding and experience in hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes.
* Proven ability to integrate safety processes with the system engineering process.
* Knowledge of complex electronic systems and associated safety issues. Other engineering areas, such as design, software, or manufacture, will also be considered for candidates with relevant strengths.
Qualifications:
* Ideally degree-qualified or equivalent.
