Role: Private Tutor
Hours: Full time
Location: Outskirts of Fareham, Hampshire
A position has become available to support a private student in Key Stage 4, focussing on core subject development alongside school. Travel in Europe may be required to support the student, alongside their sporting commitments.
Please note, this will be a salaried role which is negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and implement lesson plans that align with the student's school curriculum and learning goals.
Subject Expertise: Teach core subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, and History, ensuring the student stays on track regardless of location.
Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess the student's progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching methods to suit their learning style.
Homework Assistance: Support the students with homework and projects, ensuring comprehension and skill development.
Skill Development: Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and study skills to promote academic independence.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding the student's progress and any areas of concern.
Motivation and Support: Foster a positive learning environment that builds confidence and encourages a passion for learning.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
Applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and must be able to provide up to date references. You will also need to have a Qualified Teacher Status and be qualified to Degree level. Membership to The Tutor's Association would be advantageous.
