Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman/Manager to lead and manage construction projects on-site. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple projects, including light construction/building fabric, civil engineering works, and interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management
Coordinate and oversee all on-site activities to ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Plan and manage the construction schedule, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met.
2. Health & Safety
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and procedures on-site.
Conduct regular safety briefings and risk assessments, and report any incidents or potential hazards.
Ensure all workers and subcontractors comply with site safety protocols.
3. Quality Assurance
Ensure that all works meet quality standards and project specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and provide feedback on workmanship.
Address any quality issues promptly to maintain high standards.
4. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with the head office and provide regular progress updates.
Coordinate logistics for workers and materials to ensure smooth operations on-site.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including daily logs, schedules, and expense reports.
Submit weekly progress reports and updates on project milestones and challenges.
Document and report any changes to scope, delays, or unforeseen issues.
6. Problem Solving
Identify and address issues or delays on-site promptly and develop solutions to keep the project on track.
Work collaboratively with teams to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Foreman/Manager in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of light construction, civil engineering, and interior fit-out projects.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
* Willingness to work away from home - accommodation paid.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £40,123.00-£44,778.00 per year
