THE ROLE
As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in engaging with referral agencies and supporting service users to achieve positive outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
1. Engage with local authorities, statutory, and voluntary agencies to generate referrals.
2. Plan and deliver effective support and safety plans, regularly reviewing and updating progress.
3. Ensure properties are well-maintained, furnished, and clean.
4. Issue correct tenure and support agreements, ensuring compliance.
5. Empower service users to achieve their desired outcomes and actively involve them in decision-making.
6. Develop early move-on plans, identifying realistic housing options.
7. Support service users with domestic tasks, providing practical assistance where necessary.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, supporting vulnerable individuals. Additionally, you will have:
8. Experience in engaging with referral agencies and local authorities.
9. Strong understanding of homelessness prevention and support services.
10. Ability to manage and maintain housing properties effectively.
11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on service user empowerment.

13. 35 Hours Per Week, 09:00 to 17:30
14. 12 Weeks, Temp to Perm
