Location: Based at 100 Temple Street and home working by agreement.
We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in commissioning, bidding for government funded support programmes or managing services to help people who are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping.
You will be the strategic lead in the city for reducing rough sleeping and will coordinate the bidding for DLUHC Rough Sleeping Initiative Funding (from DLUHC) and commissioning of services.
Working in close partnership with rough sleeping sector, and provider organisations, you will have the opportunity to develop, and contract manage client-focused services that prevent and relieve rough sleeping. The role also includes active engagement with a wide group of other agencies involved in reducing rough sleeping in the city such as physical and mental health and substance use services.
You will lead on the co-produced bidding process for RSI funding in partnership with DLUHC advisors, stakeholders and partner organisations; commission effective service provision to prevent and reduce rough sleeping in Bristol; and lead on implementing the delivery of new services, monitor quality and performance to ensure the best outcomes for clients and troubleshoot on day-to-day issues.
You will be part of a small and friendly team managing a range of homelessness contracts and grants, based within the Council’s Housing Options Service. Your partnership work with rough sleeping sector will also contribute towards government and BCC aims to reduce rough sleeping in the city and keep people safe in the winter months.
We are looking for someone who is committed to implementing client-focused solutions that are trauma informed to help people recover from homelessness, sustain their accommodation and move towards independent living. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work flexibly to meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously.
