About the role
3 Month Contract – Immediate Start
As Commercial Analyst for ARO, you are critical to ensuring ARO’s ongoing profitability, by identifying missed billing revenues, and reduce unnecessary cost of sales. You will systematically analyse product billing areas, such as connectivity, cloud hosting, and then identify areas where billing has been missed, under-charged, or where there are unnecessary supplier costs which should removed.
In this exciting opportunity, you’ll analyse large volumes of billing and supplier data to identify missed revenue, incorrect rates, and areas of excess cost. Your insights will have a direct impact on business performance, helping to optimise processes, eliminate unnecessary expenses, and ensure billing accuracy. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cost-saving initiatives and update ARO systems, streamlining future analysis. This is a temporary role ongoing for 3 months. You will support business workstream leads who are tasked with realising additional profit, and provide them the data, analysis and data processing to achieve their goals.
Please note that this is a Hybrid role with onsite requirement 2 -3 days a week. You must be able to commute to the office in Farnborough.
What you’ll do
• Identify missed billing or cost saving areas
• Match billing and supplier costs to identify gaps requiring further investigation.
• Your measured of success will be profit identified, and data investigated.
• Share data with workstream leads and other project stakeholders in presentable and manageable formats.
• Track the status of high volumes of data, to understand what work has been complete, what is in progress, and what is outstanding.
• Track identified savings, either as “potential” unverified savings, or savings which have been verified by finance.
• With training, systematically investigate areas of potential savings by accessing ARO systems, and analysing supplier reporting.
• Once investigation has been completed, update ARO systems with any missing data, so analysis can be completed more efficiently the next time.
• Collaborate closely with project workstream leads, finance leads and the wider business to ensure all target product lines are investigated and no profit missed.
Requirements
What we are looking for?
Essential
• 2+ years in an equivalent commercial analytical role.
• 2+ years in commercial environment and understand billing, supplier costs, profit maximisation.
• Experience with managing and processing larger data sets to match data, identify inconsistencies, track progress and provide summary reports.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Advanced MS Excel user, particularly data processing and management.
• Analytical.
• Methodical, so nothing is missed.
• Inquisitive, where investigation is required sometimes the data is not easily available, so you are able to find a way to get it.
Desirable
• Experience working in an IT environment.
• Experience in revenue assurance or equivalent role.
• Understanding of business IT products e.g. telephony, connectivity etc.
