You will work in the community, providing personalised education programs and helping learners develop practical skills like using public transport, ICT, cooking and money management. You may also accompany them to work experience or college.

No Limits supports post-16 learners with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties, often with challenging behaviours.
You may be supporting someone like Harriet*,
Harriet, who has a speech impediment and social anxiety, struggled in a classroom setting and was excluded from school. No Limits identified her communication barriers and used technology to help her make choices, regulate emotions, and structure her day. Harriet started using her communication device more regularly, such as ordering food at a café.
No Limits introduced additional techniques to enhance her communication. Harriet now attends college with MacIntyre, where her confidence and engagement are steadily improving.

What we need from you
If you have not worked in the field of education before then please don’t be put off as no experience is needed. We can provide all of the specialist training you need, but we can't train you to be kind, to have initiative, to be friendly and patient; and those are essential qualities for this work.
You must be a driver with a UK manual driving license, willing and able to travel across the area, supporting young people from their own homes. Reasonable mileage is reimbursed.
You must have Level 2 in GCSEs (or equivalent) minimum C grade in English and Mathematics, they are essential.

All Community Teaching Facilitators need a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or equivalent) To become a Qualified Community Teaching Facilitator, you'll need a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. We'll help you complete this within 18 months of passing probation, and it will be reflected in your salary. Many go on to achieve Level 4 and Level 5 and become managers.
