We are looking for a Production Manager who will play a pivotal role in leading the production team, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment. YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
1. Being a key member of the site operations team responsible for the 24-7 operation of one of Nuneaton’s production facilities encompassing 11 production lines and a team of circa 150.
2. Ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing strict adherence to health and safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture among the production team.
3. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and legal requirements, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety regulations. Maintain/improve BRC A+ rating.
4. Managing and coordinating daily production activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to meet production targets and customer demand.
5. Utilising the SIC and Tier process to manage operational KPIs such as safety, quality, plan attainment, OEE, quality, yield, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
6. Providing guidance, coaching, and structured development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.
7. Identifying opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies within Saputo’s MPS (Manufacturing Performance System).
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
8. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or equivalent vocational experience.
9. Proven experience as a Production Manager in an FMCG or manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in a turnaround setting.
10. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement principles.
11. Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality management systems.
12. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
14. Results-driven mindset with a focus on operational excellence and meeting production targets.
