Job summary
We are recruiting a Vascular Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist, which is a new post to support the Vascular Network development.
This exciting position will work within the Planned Care Division, working closely with nurse and clinical colleagues across the Hertfordshire and West Essex Vascular Network to ensure good communication, consistent practice and quality care is provided across the service; helping to embed the new network and achieve high performance and patient centred delivery of care.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse, with experience of working within the vascular speciality and hold further post registration qualifications such as non-medical prescribing, leadership and management experience and qualifications and advanced clinical assessment skills.

Main duties of the job
The Vascular Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist will manage and lead a specialist service with responsibility for ensuring high quality, cost-effective healthcare or manage and lead a workforce of specialist nurses ( across a Division). They will be responsible for the assessment, planning, diagnosis implementation and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills.
They will also be involved in the strategic review of clinical services as appropriate. The post holder will also be responsible for implementing a clearly defined integrated approach to patient care encompassing new treatments and evidence-based care.
