To provide comprehensive support to the site management team by ensuring that effective management systems are in place, which deliver the Company Occupational Health and Safety and Environment Policy and meet legal requirements.
Key Accountabilities and Measures
1. Plan and support the roll out of the National Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) strategy, ensuring that HSE best practice standards are developed and maintained on site that are compliant with statutory and company policy.
2. HSE spend locally is within budget.
3. Provide accurate, timely, legally correct assistance and sensible business led advice to line managers on site in all aspects of the Health, Safety and the Environment.
4. Foster a positive HSE culture by ensuring the accountability for HSE is accepted by managers and employees. Acting as a coach and facilitator for line managers and providing appropriate tools and techniques.
5. Identify HSE learning needs for the site (bakery and depot) and provide cost-effective solutions to meet these needs, through liaison with the TLandD Manager.
6. Identify areas for improvement as a result of risk assessments, audits, accidents and incidents and ensure that these are followed to completion to ensure continuous improvement and learning.
