This role focuses on gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering, primarily working with brass and steel to manufacture high-quality canisters. Key Requirements:
Proven expertise in gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering, especially with brass and steel. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with preheating techniques and their importance in achieving weld quality. Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality results. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime when necessary. Able to follow detailed instructions and work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering on brass and steel components to create durable canisters. Preheat materials to prevent cracking and achieve optimal weld quality. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to apply the correct welding techniques. Inspect welds to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and specifications. Maintain and ensure the safety of welding equipment and tools. Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues, adjusting techniques as needed. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines and quality expectations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations. Document welding activities and promptly report any issues to management.
