Pay: £420 – £475 per week (depending on experience)

A large, successful secondary school in Newport is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their SEN provision full-time. This exciting opportunity begins in January 2025 and will run through to the end of the academic year in July 2025.
About the Role:
This is a full-time role that requires commitment, compassion, and a strong understanding of special educational needs. Working alongside the SEN team, you will provide one-to-one and small group interventions for pupils aged 11–16. The role focuses on supporting students with various additional learning needs, including autism (verbal and non-verbal), ADHD, global developmental delay, and dyspraxia. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing academic support: Assist pupils with key subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
Fostering life skills: Help pupils develop independence and essential life skills to support their future success.
Tailored interventions: Offer one-to-one and small group sessions tailored to individual student needs within the SEN base.
