An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Engineer to join an internationally established automotive manufacturer. As Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the sales development of products from acquisition through to serial production.
Candidates will be educated to degree level within business, engineering, purchasing, or procurement. Further to this, the successful candidate will have had 1-2 years' experience working in one of those disciplines. This can include technical sales, engineering, purchasing, or procurement.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Form part of the Acquisition Team and prepare & update the commercial offers.
2. Assist in the preparation of the Business Plans and RFQs.
3. Develop customer relationships across purchasing, engineering, and project functions.
4. Monitor the level of customer satisfaction at regular intervals.
5. Get a good understanding of the costing files.
6. Propose and get validated the targeted pricing and the negotiation path.
7. Prepare and negotiate the commercial answers to the customers' engineering change requests.
8. Understand the Program Business Plan and associated commercial levers.
9. Have a detailed understanding of piece price, tooling, and D&D impact.
10. Follow the Variable Cost Margin of the products.
11. Understand and commercially manage local economics (inflation, exchange rate).
12. Understand and rigorously implement the Sales Administration guidelines & processes (purchase orders, invoices, terms of payment, etc.).
