We are seeking a Director of User Experience to shape the future of design processes while leading a talented team of creatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in setting new standards and refining our approach to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* As the Director of UX, you will be responsible for ensuring that DEEP’s products deliver an experience that is aligned with our values and mission and is informed by and responsive to current and future customer desires.
* You will lead, mentor, inspire, and grow a team of UX Designers, fostering their growth and expertise in our products.
* You will serve as a people manager to ensure high performance across the team.
* You will forge new policies and processes to streamline collaboration and efficiency across teams and to align features and benefits with customers.
* You and your team will conduct impactful usability studies, facilitating internal sessions and customer feedback reviews.
* You will oversee the development and maintenance of essential design assets, ensuring excellence in mock-ups, VR and AR models, and user flows.
* Most importantly, you will champion high-quality design solutions and gain stakeholder buy-in at all levels, driving the creation of storyboards to effectively communicate design concepts and resultant experience delivery.
Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience usually associated with 10 years or more within a design focused role.
* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
* Significant demonstrable experience in a leadership role within UX Design teams.
* Exceptional management and leadership abilities with a track record of recruiting, mentoring, and managing designers effectively.
* Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences, from technical teams to C-level executives.
* Ability to travel up to 35%.
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience usually associated with 15 years or more of within the design field.
* MBA or related advanced degree.
