As our Head of Services you are responsible for the delivery of all the SEO services that we provide to our customers.
SEO services (e.g. Citation building, local SEO service) account for more than 50% of our revenue and are critical to the commercial success of BrightLocal.
Every month, close to 2,000 SMB & agency customers rely on us to deliver high-quality results that have a material impact on their business. As such, a great deal of our reputation and market position is derived from our ability to deliver high-quality services consistently, and on time.
We have ambitious plans to introduce new services over the next 12 months and expand how we support our customers, and diversify our revenues. Your objective is to ensure that we continue to deliver services to customers in the most effective, efficient, and profitable way possible as we scale.
To do this, you will oversee every aspect from service and organisation design to operational delivery and account management. You will form and lead a new Services Leadership Team (UK), and through them you will be responsible for leading the largest team in the business - our Philippines service delivery team of 200+ people.
Working closely with your People team partner you will ensure your team develops and grows through clear direction and coaching, enabling them to become more independent and high-performing. You will also oversee the expansion of the whole Service delivery team, ensuring that we have capacity to grow quickly inline with customer demand.
To ensure we grow efficiently you will need to be innovative, energetic and process-driven with a clear focus on streamlining workflows and making use of technology to deliver faster and more reliable results for customers.
Based in our HQ in Brighton (UK), you will be a key member of our management team who collectively run the day-to-day operations of the business to deliver on our strategy and commercial targets. You will report directly to the CEO (UK based).
You’ll need to have:
* Built and managed overseas service delivery teams at scale;
* Extensive leadership and people-management experience;
* Strong communication skills and ability to persuade others to get behind the changes you advocate;
* A natural people-first approach to work, putting success of the team above your own personal ambitions;
* A practical appreciation of the impact of different cultures and languages on building cohesive teams and processes;
* Worked closely with Commercial teams to create and shape new services or products for customers;
* Worked closely with Finance teams to manage budgets and ensure successful delivery of profitable services;
* Proven experience refining and improving processes to deliver services more efficiently;
* Proven experience identifying and implementing new technologies to enhance service delivery;
* An understanding of digital marketing services and an appreciation of the principles of SEO;
