At our Ely site, we are looking for a Materials Stock Controller in our factory. You will work within a team in a fast-paced environment reporting to the Logistics Manager. You will be responsible for the stock control on all materials in and out of the factory, accountable for the monthly stock takes for your department, and ensuring that we have the correct stock levels on site at all times.
Health and safety is a very important aspect of our business, and you will be accountable for your own and others' health and safety while at work, operating within the DS Smith safe systems of work guidelines.
The role requires you to work with a variety of personnel, including the Production Manager, Shift Manufacturing Managers, and Assembly Manager, along with the Goods in and Goods out personnel to ensure the smooth running of your department.
About You
1. Experience working in the print, POS, and POP industry
2. Experience in stock control
3. Understanding of FSC guidelines
4. Experience working within the manufacturing industry
5. Attending daily meetings with Procurement and DAC
6. Good working knowledge of health and safety practices
7. Proven experience of working towards KPIs and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
8. Ability to work within a team and being a team player is essential
9. Knowledge of Word, Excel, and MIS systems
10. Communication skills both written and verbal
11. Cardboard material knowledge
12. Able to be flexible to suit team needs
Day to Day Tasks
1. Daily spot checks on materials
2. Completing monthly stock takes
3. Product ordering Ad-hocs
4. Updating Tharstern schedule system with material updates
