Job Title: EHS Consultant Duration : 6 months Location : Oxford, UK area Onsite requirement : 4 days per week Description : UK based Client is seeking an experienced EHS Expert Consultant to join their team for a 6-month contract role. The ideal candidate will have a background in GMP and at least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry. This role requires expertise in safety risk assessment, document review, SOP writing, training, and system setup and maintenance, with a focus on ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards in our operations. This position will require 4 days per week onsite at their Oxford area UK location. Key Responsibilities: Safety Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough safety risk assessments for various processes and activities to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risk. Document Review: Review and update environmental, health, and safety documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and GMP standards. SOP Writing: Develop, review, and update SOPs related to EHS processes, ensuring they are clear, concise, and compliant with GMP guidelines. Training and Development: Deliver EHS training to staff, focusing on safety protocols, hazard identification, and compliance with relevant regulations. Provide guidance on best practices for maintaining a safe working environment. Deliberating and Deployment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliberate on EHS strategies and assist with the deployment of EHS initiatives within the organization. System Setup & Maintenance: Support the setup and maintenance of EHS management systems, ensuring efficient tracking and reporting of safety-related incidents, training records, and compliance metrics. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement in EHS practices and contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of safety programs. Required Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of GMP regulations and practices. Proven expertise in safety risk assessment, SOP writing, and EHS system implementation and maintenance. Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise procedures and reports. Experience in training and delivering EHS-related content to diverse teams. Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in using EHS management software and other relevant systems. Willingness and ability to work 4 days per week onsite at their UK location.
