About the job
As a Laboratory Assistant, the successful candidate will analyse and evaluate products and materials to check and ensure that quality and approved analysis standards are met. They will independently follows established processes providing day-to-day support necessary to ensure delivery of operational targets
Duties will also include:
1. Conducting tests to analyse products and materials.
2. Collecting samples across the site/registers them and sends them out for analysis.
3. Interpreting results of analyses and escalating non-conformance issues as required.
4. Creating action plans for non-conformances and follows it up according to procedures.
5. Communicating and reporting results to the relevant department.
6. Ensuring that instrumentation is functioning and calibrated and that verified methods are used
7. Ensuring laboratory stock is always available
8. Maintain laboratory safety and 5S levels
What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role
9. Ambition & drive
10. Good or advanced Microsoft Office experience
11. Previous experience of data analysis would be advantageous but not essential
12. Solid team player who is happy to contribute to the common success of the business.
13. Self-motivated and excellent communicator
