A Secondary school in Southend are looking to appoint a full-time ArtTeacher, to cover and support the Art Department from November 2024. The position is suitable for an ECT or Experienced Teachers. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art to students in KS3/4, with focus on providing engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to learn. You will be expected to plan, mark and attend parents evening.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver creative and effective Art lessons to students
- Create lesson plans, assessments and assignments that align with the curriculum
- Monitor and track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and student well-being
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Art or related field
- Hold QTS
- Experience teaching Art to students in KS3/4
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
