Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Wolverhampton as a Plant Quality Technician. The role is a permanent role for the right candidate.
Hours of work:
Monday – Thursday - 8:30am - 4pm
Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm
Pay
Between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum dependent on experience
Description and key responsibilities as a Plant Quality Technician:
Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF16949/ISO9001)
Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system and providing feedback.
Data collection activities to define issues and drive improvements.
Support quality-related issues with for internal, supplier and customer concerns.
Ability to identify and react to non-conformances engaging the correct escalation process as necessary.
Support with scrap and RFT initiatives and identify ways to drive improvements and reduce costs.
Conduct first off / last off sample approvals and have a working knowledge of the application of SPC and MSA principles.
Support with root cause and corrective actions for product quality issues using proven methodology such as 8D and supporting tools.
Support the internal audit program, with layered process audits, product and process audits.
