Department of Biology, Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research, 3 South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3SY Our team at the University of Oxford’s Department of Biology, Oxford Martin School and Pandemic Sciences Institute is looking to do a cluster hire of up to 5 Pandemic Sciences Research Fellows in four major research areas. Each post is advertised for an initial period of 24 months with possibility of extensions beyond. What are we looking for: We are looking for Research Fellows to join our vibrant research environment at Oxford. Each Fellow is expected to perform independent research on a topic of mutual interest, publish this work in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and represent the group at external scientific and public health policy meetings. We value candidates with the ability to identify high-impact research questions and work independently with little day-to-day supervision, are self-motivated and have strong computational and scientific writing skills. We provide a nurturing environment and access to high-dimensional pathogen genome, human mobility, epidemiological, and climate datasets. For those interested we provide travel bursaries to support visits to collaborators and to present work at scientific conferences.
