Dorset Council is looking for a motivated, customer focused, team player to join the Customer Services team at Purbeck Sports Centre (Wareham) for casual holiday and sickness cover.
What you can expect to be doing:
As a first point of call for all customers you will be confident, approachable and dedicated to providing the highest standard of customer care.
The key duties for this position include;
1. Handling customers enquiries both in person and over the telephone.
2. Handling queries regarding the Centre, facilities, events and activities.
3. Taking bookings and payments on the point-of-sale system using cash and cards
4. Assisting with general administration such as record keeping, replenishing leaflets and bookings.

6. The successful candidate will have:
7. Good verbal and written communication skills
8. The ability to work in a busy environment
9. Good level of IT Skills
10. The ability to use your own initiative
11. Experience in customer services
About you:
Flexibility and reliability are essential as you will be required to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holiday periods. You will be a motivated and confident individual with a background of working in a customer facing role.
You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer service skills for liaising with both customers and colleagues. Knowledge of computed based software’s and programmes is beneficial but full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
