Job Summary
The Site Engineer – Mechanical will plan and deliver mechanical and civil engineering activities at the Newton Aycliffe Manufacturing Site, ensuring compliance with external legal requirements and internal standards. Key responsibilities include regular review of asset integrity, specification and planning of work, maintenance of working knowledge of plant equipment, and attendance at daily production and maintenance meetings.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver mechanical and civil engineering activities to ensure compliance with external legal requirements and internal standards.
* Regularly review asset integrity and condition using a defined management process.
* Specify and plan work utilizing internal or external resources to ensure safe and cost-effective maintenance.
* Maintain working knowledge of all plant equipment and changes in technology.
* Attend daily production and maintenance meetings to maintain day-to-day understanding of plant issues and provide support to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
A Graduate Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years of experience is required. In-depth knowledge of engineering standards and processes relevant to pipework, vessels, structural inspections, and relevant legislation is necessary. Strong engineering skills in design, development, and troubleshooting are also required.
Salary Range
£55,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience.
