Located in a prominent position on Shoreditch High Street, One Hundred Shoreditch has 258 bedrooms, five restaurants and bars including a breakfast restaurant, a destination cocktail bar and a rooftop bar and terrace, offering panoramic views over East London.
As the Finance Manager at One Hundred Shoreditch Hotel, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the hotel. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial planning, analysis, reporting, and control. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
2. Prepare and analyse financial monthly reports, forecasts, and variance reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
3. Manage cash flow activities, and financial risk to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
4. Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Oversee HMRC tax related matters including submission of VAT returns and general tax compliance.
6. Collaborate with the on-site hotel management team to optimise financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings.
7. Conduct regular financial reviews and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
8. Assist with the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as required.
9. Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
10. Assist with project work to help drive further efficiencies within the business.
Qualifications and Experience
11. Qualified member of an accountancy body (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or holder of a equivalent qualification).
12. Degree level desirable but not essential.
13. Successful track record of leading a finance team.
