Qualifications:
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,700 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including many training services. As the company grows we have a need to expand our current Training Capability with the Apache AH64-E helicopter. We are looking to hire an Apache AH64-E Simulator Instructor to work at our Middle Wallop site, joining the simulator instructor team, to deliver Apache AH64-E synthetic training to military customer aircrew.
This is a challenging and rewarding position where you will join a growing team of Boeing Instructors and be responsible for the daily delivery of customer training within the new state of the art Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT)

Responsibilities:
Conduct instructional sorties on the AH64-E Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) including:
1. Pre sortie briefing
2. Post sortie debriefing plus report writing
3. Post sortie administrative actions (system fault reporting and time keeping)
4. Utilizing other Part Task Trainers (PTTs) to deliver training as required
5. Gain and maintain Instrument Rating Examiner (IRE) status
6. Gain and maintain proficiency in the LCT and associated systems
7. Deliver classroom based aircraft technical training
8. Conduct reviews and assist in the development of courseware
9. Maintain a high level of proficiency in instructional methods, and knowledge of aircraft systems
10. Understand the basic concepts of military manuals, standards, engineering data and related documentation
11. Develop solutions, in collaboration with other team members and in accordance with established procedure and policies/guidelines. Implement endorsed changes as directed
12. Pursue continuous process improvements
13. Demonstrate and champion the Boeing Values
14. Collaborate, be accountable and place the customer first
15. Demonstrate the Boeing Behaviours
Preferred Experience:
16. Ideally you will have flying experience as a Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI) or as a Qualified Service Pilot
17. Front line recent Apache experience is desirable, however applications from other Qualified Service Pilots with or without recent instructional, or synthetic training experience are very welcome. Applications from civilian pilots are also welcome, but would require significant instructional experience. (All AH64-E simulator conversion training will be provided to the successful candidate)
18. General instructor experience in academic and theoretical topics is preferred
19. Experience of synthetic training is beneficial
