About the role
Title: Retail Security Officer
Pay Rate: £12.75
Location: Mont St Aignan Way, Edenbridge TN8 5LN
Shift Pattern: Part time, 20 hours a week
You will be working in a well-known retail store which holds various stock, some of which may be of high value such as meat and alcohol. We are looking for a confident candidate who can monitor and deter theft, provide exceptional customer service and support to customers, as well as ensure safety and security for both staff and visitors. The right candidate must have a friendly approach, but also the ability to act appropriately in all situations.

Your main responsibilities may include:
1. Patrolling the retail store premises.
2. Following ASCONE.
3. Investigating disturbances and monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
4. Calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
5. Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
6. Providing exceptional customer service.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
1. Minimum of 6 months’ experience in security is a must. Ideally in retail, but not essential.
2. SIA License.
3. Be confident, outgoing, friendly, and willing to learn.
4. 5-year checkable work/career history.
5. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
6. Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
7. Possess the ability to work under pressure.
