Job Duties:
1. Provide 1-1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
2. Assist with the implementation of individualised behaviour plans
3. Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
4. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create a supportive learning environment
5. Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
6. Experience working with children or young adults with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
7. Strong understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
9. Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
Experience:
10. Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
11. Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
Knowledge and Skills:
12. Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
13. Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
14. Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
15. Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
16. Training in de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support
Working Conditions:
17. Temporary position based in a school setting
