Job description
A busy family near Thrapston, require a live out sole charge Nanny who is kind, caring, very organised and reliable to care for twins aged 7 years. Both children are at school full time and enjoy a busy and social life outside of school.
In addition to normal childcare duties there will be some housekeeping and assisting the owners with house management that may evolve with the role as there is scope to expand the responsibilities.
A very active nanny who is fun, firm but fair and confident in instilling good manners would suit this role.
The hours for this daily role are Monday to Friday from 6:30am - 6.30pm. Candidates will need to have some flexibility with regards to babysitting and possibly covering the odd weekend day.
The family can also consider a before and after school option in term time with full days in the holidays.
Duties for this Nanny job include:
•Helping / prompting the children to get ready in the mornings
•Preparing breakfast
•School runs (Duty car provided)
•Liaising between home and school
•Engaging the children in fun and educational activities
•Working in partnership and liaising effectively with the family
•Cooking fresh, nutritious and varied meals to include occasional batch-cooking
•Grocery shopping for the week
•Keeping the children's areas clean and tidy as you go along
•Doing the children's laundry, making and changing their beds
•General housekeeping duties whilst the children are at school - if full time hours are required
•Full nanny duties in the school holidays
•Starting the evening routine
Housekeeping and house management duties would involve maintaining the high standards around the home and assisting with household organisation. This role will suit a naturally organised and detail-oriented person.
To be considered for this role candidates must have:
•The right to work in the UK
•A level 3 qualification (or NARIC equivalent) in Childcare / Early Years
•Previous age appropriate, sole charge nanny experience is essential for this role
•A valid 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate (Tinies can assist)
•Nanny insurance (Tinies can advise)
•A clean, enhanced DBS disclosure (Tinies can assist)
•An overseas criminal records check for all countries lived / worked in, if applicable
•A clean driving licence - a duty car will be provided
•Flexibility
•A self-motivated attitude
•Strong organisational skills
Candidates must be non-smokers and non-vapers.
You should be tech savvy and able to assist the children in video calling relatives and utilising educational apps to develop the children's learning.
The start date for this role is ideally July 2024
The salary being offered is £15.00 gross per hour.
