The Company
The curriculum currently includes engineering (automotive, general & electrical), computing, science, business (HE) and professional courses, with students on study programmes, access courses, apprenticeships and higher education.
Our client delivers the majority of the apprentice provision within the company. The major part of the current provision is in Engineering with smaller delivery in Motor Vehicles, Science Laboratory Technicians, Information Technology, Business Administration and other professional apprenticeships together with a Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship.
The focus of the company is on ensuring that current and future students receive a first-class experience that enables them to progress and attain their qualifications at high levels and to develop long-lasting learning and employability skills. Success is measured in terms of meaningful progression in education and training, value added and destinations into higher education and/or employment.
The Role
The focus of this role is to visit the workplace to assess apprentices studying the Engineering Apprenticeship Standard. You will need to have an Assessor Award qualification and will need to have a background in the following areas of engineering – machining, maintenance and manufacturing up to Level 4; although offering other engineering areas up to Level 5 would be an advantage.
